Hey, I am hoping that someone can help me out.
I'm for looking replacement driveshaft bolts for a 94 gen 2 Surf (VZN130) - driveshaft to front diff
Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier (Auckland) or should I just be going through Toyota?
So far I have tried The Bolt Shop and Steelmasters
Cheers

Re: Replacement Driveshaft Bolts
Toyotaz Galore told me that they just crack them then bin them and I haven't tried any others yet.
That being said though I was hoping to get new ones

Re: Replacement Driveshaft Bolts
Now this isn't in any way a gripe against Toyota but just as a heads up to anyone else looking for new replacement driveshaft (Propshaft) nuts, bolts & spring washers.
If you do get them from Toyota, you will be looking at $9.27 for each nut, $4.92 for each bolt and $6.71 for a pack of 4 washers.
That being said, I'm assuming that it will be much the same for Nissan and the rest of the manufacturers so it really is a bugger that it seems that you can't get an alternative from anywhere else.

Re: Replacement Driveshaft Bolts
Always a good idea to use the correct spec fastener, but...
The grade 10.9 cap screws holding on my front driveshaft were obtained for a few cents each from the local engineers supplies outfit & have been happily joining together a low range geared V8 & a couple of 36" Simexs for a few km now without issue. Spring washers and lashings of red loctite for the win.
Cheers
