I have been playing, maybe a little too hard!!! and now have a 55 litre fuel tank (opps)
Any tips on removing the dents and making some protection (note to self always use protection when playing or nasty things can happen)
Also
I have a twin battery setup and do a bit of camping. What I want to be able to do is have 12 volt power without having to worry about flattening the battery What I was thinking of doing is having a switch to isolate one of the batteries, if I then run the other battery flat over night I would then switch the saved battery on and start on that one. Any thoughts on whether this will work?

My tank is now 78 litres (down from 95) dont worry about it, good chance of cracking it if you try to get the dent out .
Twin batt with isolator, yep will work fine, I take it yours is a factory twin batt setup ?
Just put an isolator on the red cable to one of the batteries to disconnect.

Will leave the tank (and continue taking my 20 litre fuel container on the long off road runs).
Any thoughs on where I could get a tank protector from, or do I just need to go to an enginering shop and get one made?
Yes it is factory twin batteries... I will only use the isolator when running accessories overnight, leaving it live most the time (to keep the batteries both charging)
Just home from Pouto (Whangarei 4wd trip) was awesome... off to the Okaihau Fire Brigade fundraiser tomorrow....

i had a factory one guard,kinda got rather mangled so thin,got a 5 mm steel plate made up to fit,works really well,taken some hard bumps on it now and no dents.
just be careful when u go to change it,cos plate and tank use same mounts (mine does) make sure u support the tank,other than that no issues.
