Hi guys,
How easy is it to remove the 2.4 petrol engine from a 93 doublecab, and replace it with a 2.8 Diesel? Just wondering if everything lines up etc, and if there is anything that is gonna be a bitch?
I may have found a 93 petrol doublecab for seriously good price, that make doing this cost effective, providing I can find a 2.8 engine somewhere!!!
Cheers
Mike

do you really want a 2.8 ? maybe a 1KZ-TE ?
i hear from a few mechanical Engineers that the 2.8 crank has had heaps of failures from crack , etc - should be fine as a natural motor , but i would'nt turbo charge it . i was told to go that way and replacing my 2LT with a 2.8 - but after a bit of research ( thank god ) i ended up going 13BT route !
