add a leaf

Post by fish »

hi im looking at doing something about my saging leaf springs.
i spoke to someone who claimed he could reset them and give me a bit of lift by adding a leaf to the spring pack.
my concern is though, will this make the spring to stiff? as it is all ready quite a firm ride, just too low, and would it limit upward travel? hmmmn
cheers

I'm pretty happy with the result after getting springs re-set with an extra full-length leaf. I pulled a couple of the short leaves to compensate for the extra, & got about an inch lift out of it. 18 months on, and no sign of sagging again, which some people warned me would happen. I'd say go for it... Cheapest option there is.
