1HDT were a 2LT once lived?

Post by waterboy123 »

Whats involved in swapping a 1HDT into a 1991 70 series Prado LWB? is the g/box similar or miles apart, (factory 2,4litre turbo 5 speed)

Whats required to swap one in? Engine mounts from an HZJ75? is there a bell housing adaptor available.

The gearboxes are very different, but the main issue would be the length, the front chassis x-member, radiator, etc on the prado are a lot further back, it's only really a 4 cyl (or V8  ) engine bay.

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.
