Power steering cooler

Post by Mattman »

Anyone fitted one?

My Lexus gets quite hot underbonnet and I have boiled the fluid a couple of times.

Do you just use a trans cooler and plumb it into the return line? What sort of line is needed, just ordinary fuel type line?

Cheers
Matt.

on mine the filler tank has been moved and is now on the firewall, we dont have any problems with the fluid heating, although a trans cooler sounds like a good idea

So you are just running a remote resourvoir then?

I don't know if I would have anywhere else to mount it that wouldn't be quite as hot but I guess the further away from the motor the better.

Cheers
