Eww it looks a bit dirty and muddy. Looks like you would get your truck really messy in there

Didn't see any shots of the ginger jafas' truck in the mud? Did he make it, or was he hung over from Friday night still?

Good shot of the detroit iron powered 'Cruiser. Nothing a little bit of slipper when required is there Saddam?

I think lilpig and rotazuk were waiting down at the rallywoods gate on Sat morning before it even got light

I think them and a few others got a fair bit further into the depths of the rallywoods jungle and mud than the rest of us managed to on saturday :?

What an awsome weekend :D

Sat was great, lilpig, shell, tonka, blackbetty and myself broke off from the main group and covered most of the tracks without any problems untill i went down a track i shoudnt have and was driving along on the drivers side two wheels, my front guard and the roof line  The pic above is after id put the guard back as straight as i could get it.

Sat night was fun too, not that i remember anything after about 8pm

Sunday was bit of a non event for me, overheating issues and a lack of driving ability due to the night before meant i had to pull out of the trip about 10mins into it.

Looking forward to next time.

Out of the bush finally! What a weekend. I don't think that I have been to bed before 1or 2am for the past 5 nights. My body is growling at me today (nothing a bit of tiger balm won't fix ay Tonka and Lil Pig!!) cos it is sore and beaten up. My liver's a bit sad too!

Anyway, I think that in general it was a very very successful weekend. Lots and lots and lots of mud. We are totally loving our new mudzillas.....it has opened up a whole new world of terrain for us. Now we are excited to be following Stinky into the harder tracks, rather than panicking!

Highlights of the trip:
1) Mr XYZ getting paraletic after consuming excesive amounts of beer!
2) Mr ABC getting paraletic after consuming excesive amounts of beer!
3) Mr LMN getting paraletic after consuming excesive amounts of beer!
4) Mr EFG getting almost paraletic after consuming excesive amounts of beer!
5) Finding out that Lil Pig Zuk has a very big obsession with Tiger Balm

Oh my god, I could get rich from writing a book about this trip! This was just the beginning. But not being one to spill the beans totally, I will leave it there. Everyone seemed to have a very enjoyable time, and the company was great and a lot of fun had. Looking forward to the next one!

I forgot to mention when I went out last night (following Mrs Cloggy in her Crummydore....who was doing a beer run for Mr Cloggy  ) we came across this OAP (old aged pensioner) halfway up the rallywoods road in her very new fiesta, who had got horribly lost going back over the haywards, so we escorted her back to the haywards hill...mrs cloggy had to shoot off (to do some baking or something) So I was there chatting with her, turns out she had been on the road for 5 hours and was 87 and the only night driving she had done was 6 years ago before her husband died and was driving back to her retirement village in waekanae....she was in a bit of a state, mrs cloggy had to turn the car round cos I had my gumboots on....

Ok so I escort her back to the Paramata service station (slowly) where she gets a coffee and stuff whilst I pump up my tyres and clean my windows.... I didn't really feel comfortable leaving her there so I escort her back to her retirement village....slowly again ...we stopped on the way where she asked me what the lights on the dash were (the door open and the speedo backlighting) as she had never seen them before.

So with her back and safe we had a cup of tea and some cake (OAP's always have cake  ) and we chatted for a bit, turns out her husband flew 137 bombing missions in the RAF during the war and stuff.....she offered me money but I didn't accept it....

I have no idea how long she was driving round the back roads, it could have been nasty and we were lucky to come across her when we did in case she slipped off a bank or had to spend a cold night in her car. if she got really lost she might not have been found for a whilst.

Perhaps the names of certain drinkers should be edited, hate for the wrong people to read this and get the wrong idea about what was obviously a great trip.

Just a suggestion anyway.

Thanks to everyone who turned up. It was not just Rallywoods (which is an excellent venue) but the people which makes a weekend like this so memorable. I am sure those who were there will have fond memories about this one for some years to come.
For me the evenings around the campfire were just as much fun as the 4 wheel driving itself.
