CV boot - HELP!! Free wheeling hub???

Post by Mudsam »

My 93 LWB pajero has 33" tyre and tighten the torsion bar, it is about 3" higher than standard. But both CV boots has been broken twice and very annoying me. Someone told me I should have a MANUAL free wheeling hub and should sort out the problem. Just wondering is that true? and what brand should I go for? superwinch? aisin? Thanks for command.

With manual hubs it means that the front CV's aren't rotating all the time which will save the boots and make them last a bit longer.

Asin are the strongest - lots of debate over aftermarket hub strength.

Matt.
