how come put 1KZ later model to 1986 landcruiser

1986 landcruiser short wheel model
i got 1kz latermodle engine and same 5speed gearbox ,the problem is geaarbox can not fit to diff, what can i do this time and think to hard for me ,,,anypeople can advice? or change my plan ,(2L-T 5L OR ????????????)

I assume the 1KZ came out of a Surf? and the rear output shaft doesn't match up?

If so you will need to see if you can change the transfer case for a Prado one. Then you'd be right.

78 series 92 to 98 I would think.

Actually, I haven't seen any 1KZ Prado's with a 5 speed manual.

Whats the gearbox model number? then I should be able to find out some more specific info.... Whats the model number on the gearbox you've taken out?

its come from 96 surf 5speed model number is KZN185

Ooops, What he said!!!! call Just cruisers in Rangiora, that will give you a starting point price wise (it will be high... very high)

Straight land cruisers came out with that gearbox too, so ask around for a transfercase to fit to and R151F
