Rubbing sound from Power Steering.. Escudo 8V '90

Hey there, I hear a rubbing sound in the steering column when I turn the wheel with the engine running. Its not there when the engine is off. Is that the power steering box? Oil Level is good. Fluid seems ok.
Is it a common fixable issue? Any ideas ?

Can you feel it through the steering wheel as a slight sort of grinding / rubbing? If so it's really common and is a dry seal in the p/steering box. It happens to most scuds if they sit unused for any length of time (such as fresh imports that don't sell straight away). There is an addititive that you can put in the steering box that seems to help alleviate it, but they need to be used a lot to see any improvement. It is nothing to worry about, however.
