Have you used those clutches before?

They seem ridiculously cheap. I can get trade price on Repco clutches and they are more than that.

I just had a Hilux clutch made up for me, organic plate with a 2100lb clamping pressure. I got trade price on the clutch so it was a good price however it was still a lot of money.

I have found that you get what you pay for with clutches, if you are going to work it offroad hard then I would try and get a better quality clutch.

If you want to confirm the clutch then just call Repco or BNT or whatever and ask them the pressure plate part number for the petrol and diesel models.

Vaughan as discussed your flywheel will need to be STONEGROUND to optimise the friction coefficients of the Fiberfuff

my 2LT is a stocky & after much deliberation & startn something & changing my mind with it , realise its not worth throwing $$$ at it , ( Engine , etc ) I know what i want and it starts with a 'U', so just need a stock clutch , Fair enough if you upgrade the power output , so you upgrade the clutch to suit & everything else , but ain't happening for this truck.

I was qouted $500 for a New stock genuine Toyota clutch kit for it off a company on trademe that sells clutchs , Car parts in Aussie are alot cheaper , 4 X time's the people & bigger economy & much bigger buying power, alot cheaper to buy bulk ( like buying 100 clutch's over 5 ) off a Importer/wholesaler !

Nothing wrong with a stock clutch, If I was purchasing overseas I would want to make sure I had experience with the product and or vendor.

Nothing worse than having a problem with international transactions.

just out of interest if ilam`s gave you that price it may not be your "run of the mill" clutch kit , it could be a dual mass flywheel setup, might pay to pull the box to check first
