Auto fluid leaking into transfer case, 1993 Prado.

Hi fellow 4wd people, my first post here so thanks in advance for any info, my auto box has developed a leak, where the auto fluid gets into the transfer case, (not good for either component I believe), so, how does the transfer box and auto join together, from what I can gather the mounting bolts from the transfer are through from the inside of the case, so, dismantle the transfer case, is a this straight forward, spanners and hammers job?, anything to lookout for?, already parted with 500 beer tokens and that didn't fix it for very long, so will be looking in the auto box as well, I know the speed sensor got trashed at some point, and think the mortal remains are still in the box causing havoc and mayhem, will be cleaning all the gunk out whilst under the truck,
