Coil Spacers

Post by MAT »

Hi, Anyone know where i can buy some coil spacers for a vitara in NZ ? Would prefer to buy some than make some at the moment. I know a few people have made some sets in the past and sold some. :)

Yes.We made some at 30mm out of HUMPY to give a 50mm lift. Ive got lots of pictures. How much would you be willing to pay so i can tempt my man on the lathe. Ill try and get you some pictures the spacers came out really well, better than the US ones on the internet. As Our ones over lap the springs and still use the orignal rubber, also fitting into the spring socket. Cherrs MIKE.

Hey Cool, did you make both front and rear 30mm ? i know some make smaller ones at the front to get an even lift. Would be keen as , just think of a price that makes it worth your while and let me know ( PM me if ya want), i have seen the US ones but the freight usally kills it.
What is " HUMPY " is that the same as UHWMPE ? some pics would be good. :D :D
Cheers

Yes UHWMPE. But the back is Nissan springs and Holden Shocks. Also need to do a 50mm Spacer for your diff control arm if you rase the back 50mm. Its all on the Ozy site, under Vit Bible. Have sent pictures to your email. Cheers MIKE.

Hi Mat

I lifted with spacers, and I put 50mm in rear and 29mm in front (giving me 48mm lift in front). Front Strut-hat flip and new extended shocks in the rear made for a simple and cost-effective lift, but now I've run it a while I'm considering getting new extended springs all round and ditching the spacers. I'm hoping this will improve both the ride and articulation slightly.

As has been mentioned...
I would recommend longer springs (search round here and you find what fits - like honda accord wagon) in the rear + longer shocks (think corolla ones fitted) and coil spacers in the front along with the strut flip.
Should be easily able to do it for under $100 and could get 50mm lift with some more travel at same time :)
