If its not leaking from top seal or throttle shaft oring then the pump will need to come of and the seals done... Costs between 3-5 hundred for re-kit but can get costly if pump has other issues..... You have to remove the timing belt and pump pulley to remove pump... Not to much of a major if you ...

No smoke, engine starts and runs fine, no oil or water issue. Cable comes home fine, just takes a long time to drop engine revs. Cheers

gidday, i have just aquired a toyota hilux 89 with a 2l diesel 2.4 engine. all running well except for when the engine is warmed up the engine revs take forever to drop off. doesnt do it when cold. its not the cable getting caught on anything. any ideas?
