70 cruiser front guard chop.

Heya just fitted my 35" Creepy Crawlers i need some ideas on how to cut the corners of my front guards , i need to clear about 1cm each side, I have a angle grinder but thats about it, I would like it presentable as its a semi-tidy truck.
any iseas on what i need to do a tidyish job..

I explained to Curly the other day that sheilas talk in cm, sewing, cake tins and all that sort of shit.... blokes talk in mm :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

If its only 10mm..... um I mean 1cm you could probably tap it back with a hammer otherwise you'll be looking at cutting, welding, bogging and repainting

on one side ive Hit while offroading and damaged and that side is already pushed in and doesnt really need much more. But it also looks tidy enough.
so I guess your right I might take to it to a hammer atleast for now and if I want em done properly I guess i still can at a later time.. 8)

any tips on hammering them? block of wood on the corners? rubber head hammer? or use a rag or something

When I massaged my firewall to fit the lefthand head I used a club hammer and a piece of carpet folded in two and that took most of the bruising out of the hammering

On your cruiser it should just be the back of the front gaurds that the wheels rub on, longer term you want to stick some 50mm body lift blocks under it and the tyres will clear the gaurds nicely
