1hdt into kzj78

Post by Lawrence »

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has put a 1hdt into a KZj78, just thinking what id do if my 1kz let go....

the older round head light 70 series came out with a non turbo 1HD didnt they? So are the factory kzj78 mounts going to match uip with the 1hdt?

Cheers

its a pretty long motor to try and squeeze into a 4 cly engine bay, V8s are pretty tight and there shorter than a 6 cly engine but anythings possible

Prados have a shorter chassis, the body is similar. do a search on here for 1kzte, remove egr, bigger exhaust, manual pump if you want more power, 1kz is a great motor . biggest issue really is the heads but these are not to bad to replace costwise.

Anything modified costs $$$ 1uzfe just squeezes in looking at least 10g for a drive in drive out conversion.

If you've got heaps of time ,a good read, this basicly what you would need to do.
